Why it lands
Any partner can claim civilian-agency experience on a marketing page. company_gov_relationships shows you which partners actually subcontract with those agencies — every quarter.

Overview

Partner shortlist with an onboarding plan + joint GTM brief for a target market — differentiated by HG's federal subaward intelligence (company_gov_relationships), not vendor logos on a marketing page.

Use cases

  • Channel managers stop ranking partners by ego

Today the partner shortlist is built by who shows up at conferences and who has the strongest marketing presence. With this workflow it's built by *who actually has active subaward relationships with target-market agencies*. The federal channel motion gets honest fast.

  • Co-sell briefs that name real opportunities

Each joint-GTM brief names a specific agency-program co-sell hook — not 'we'll go to market together in defense'. The partner reads the brief and recognizes the opportunity because it's tied to their own past performance.

## Parameters

- `{{your_domain}}` *(required)* — Your company domain (anchors the relative-fit framing). Example: `splunk.com`
- `{{target_market}}` *(required)* — Target market the partnership is meant to reach. Example: `US federal civilian agencies`
- `{{required_capabilities}}` *(optional)* — Specific capabilities required of a viable partner. Example: `FedRAMP High, system integrator with civilian-agency past performance`

## Purpose
Produce a partner shortlist for {{your_domain}} entering {{target_market}}, ranked by *demonstrated* federal subaward footprint rather than logo affinity. Closes with an onboarding plan and a joint-GTM brief per recommended partner.

## Process
1. **Anchor your own fit** — `company_firmographic` for {{your_domain}} to confirm size and federal posture (any past performance, NAICS overlap).
2. **Find candidate partners** — `search_companies` filtered to the {{target_market}} verticals and {{required_capabilities}} when provided. Cap candidates at 20 for the next pass.
3. **Federal footprint** — `company_gov_relationships` for each candidate. Rank by:
   - Number of active prime-or-subcontract relationships with target-market agencies
   - Recency of the most recent award (≤24 months strong)
   - Subaward dollar volume in adjacent capability areas
4. **Strategic posture** — `company_research` for the top 5 to confirm they aren't competing with {{your_domain}}'s direct sales, M&A trajectory, and recent leadership signals.
5. **Joint-GTM brief** — for the recommended top 3, draft a one-paragraph joint-GTM brief naming the *named* federal opportunity each is best-positioned to co-sell.

## Output Format
Markdown with:
- `# Partner & Channel Shortlist — {{your_domain}} × {{target_market}}`
- `## Section 1 — Your Fit` (firmographic + federal-posture snapshot)
- `## Section 2 — Partner Shortlist` (table: partner | subaward footprint | recent award | strategic flag)
- `## Section 3 — Joint-GTM Briefs` (3 paragraphs)
- `## Section 4 — Onboarding Plan` (per-partner: 4-step onboarding outline)

## Quality Checklist
- Every footprint metric cites `company_gov_relationships`
- No partner ranked on marketing logos alone
- Strategic flag identifies channel conflict where it exists
- Joint-GTM brief names a real opportunity, not "the federal market"
